hello all, I was wondering if someone could help me out. my buddies father owns a stainless steel manufacturing company and can pretty much make anything out of stainless steel. Does anyone know how I can get my hands on a conical fermenter CAD outline, or some sort of design sketch that he can go off of to make my fermenter? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advanced.

Found this online. http://hbd.org/brewniversity/engineering/conical/

I'll keep looking for plans online. I could draw some up if I can't find any.

You should probably make a few of various sizes to see which one you like, then give out the others to some of these nice folks in the Upstate Brewtopians.

One of the recent Zymurgy issues had an article about a guy who built his own glycol-chilled conical. Can't find it online, but I'll see if I can find my copy and scan it or something -- if it looks like it could be useful.

I was looking at those keg fermenters too. they are pretty cool. But I really like the conical fermenter design. But if worst comes to worst, I'll try that out. Where would I be able to find a keg for sale?
