UpState Brewtopians!

Despite the bone chilling cold, we had a great mead meeting. I think the weather kept some away, as the list of meads wasn't quite as extensive as last years. They were quality as we have have come to expect, none the less.

We started off with the beers as follows:

Porter, Chocolate Cayenne Stout, Double IPA, Hoppy Brown, Rye Pale, Rye Brown, Chocolate Vanilla Stout

We then proceeded on to the meads:

Plain honey mead #1, Plain honey mead #2, Plain honey mead #3, Plain honey mead #4, Fortified (22%) blended mead, Absinthe mead, Holiday spice mead, Chili pepper mead, Cyser, Pyment, Raspberry mead, Maple Mystery mead, Peach mead, Blackberry mead, Cranberry mead

The Cranberry Mead vintage 1995 won the day. Congrats to the Brewgeeks

FEBRUARY OYSTER ROAST: This is one of our "must attend" events. not only will you be sharing in fun, food and fellowship, the auction is used to raise money for charity. There is a thread in the forums discussing the event. If you plan on attending, please make this known in advance so that plans can be made to accommodate you. Be sure to look around the house and brewery for items to auction off. For some of you, this may be a great opportunity to pick up some much needed brewing supplies as there is always some equipment up on the auction table.
